Chloe, Defined

Bookworm

Chloe loves to point at books and asks what they are. Her favorite book by far is "My First Color" book. Thank you uncle Harry and aunt Annie for the wonderful story readers!

Spin, Spin, Spin,

Chloe loves music. She always dances whenever there is music and claps when the music ends. Today for the first time, she began spinning herself over and over again until she fell down. Who taught her this??

More photos from Chloe's birthday...

We booked a very talented photographer, Bentley Waters to capture our very special day. I guess that makes me a "posh" mom according to TimeOut mag. ;) Thank you so much for your beautiful work!

Quiet Time

Every night before bath, Chloe and I have a quiet time together. I read a children's Bible story book and Chloe sits in her chair with her animal friends listening. This children's book is so fun and so easy to understand, I think I enjoy it more than she does. In fact, a few times it was missing and turns out that some other family members have been borrowing it to read too! :)

When I say "God's words", Chloe looks for the Bible. Whether she pays attention to it or not is a different story, but at least, I think she knows we're doing something together. My prayer is that this simple habit of spending time with God will become an important part of her day as she grows up.

Looking Forward

Today, we turned around her carseat so she can face forward and be able to stretch out her long legs. She's gotten tall. Sometimes it's hard to see how big your baby's grown until someone else tells you, or all of sudden, you notice that she doesn't fit in her chair anymore. When I see other mothers carrying their kids like they weigh nothing, I wonder if they realize how heavy he or she is! I asked my mom if she still sees me as a baby. She smiled and said nothing. I know my dad still does.
I know I'm going to have hard time letting go of a lot of things as she grows older. (Andrew promised to hold my hand through it all. :)) At the same time, I look foward to seeing what God's plans are for her, what she's made of, what she'll be interested in, what sports she'll enjoy playing...
